Welcome to The Big Girls Club. This is our website ~ it’s all about you, me, and us!

We are delighted and excited that you have decided to visit us and hope that you will become a member of The Big Girls Club. This website is the portal to lots of excellent adventures together. Through this website, we will look at how women are succeeding in changing the workplace and redefining success through collaboration and friendship and by using alternatives approaches to traditional hierarchal power and control practices.

Where did the idea for “The Big Girls Club” come from?

It started based on a book, The Big Girls Club: Little Girl Rules for the Big Girl Workplace by Judi Adams and Gael Strack which is a fascinating look into relationships (good and bad) between women who work together; a “How To” book for individuals, work groups and teams; it spells out ten rules and ten women-in-the-the-workplace stories. Think Sex in the City meets Eckhart Tolle and you’ve got it. It’s a whimsical read with some real life stories. Click here for info on the authors.

What’s the point of A Club?

At the heart of The Big Girls Club is this message. . Together…we can succeed ~ we don’t have to do it alone. When we were little girls we made up rules to help us be best friends – rules that helped us cooperate, get along, and play well together. We gave our word and pledged our trust.

Our simple rules really contained some big principles and The Big Girls Club is about how women are taking those rules and principles and applying them to work and relationships. The Big Girls Club is all about successes, good ideas and a return to friendships first.
